"Coming Together" is a fully staged short story told in the present tense about 2 young women who connected in high school, then rekindled a moment together thirty years later. 'It had been over thirty years since I had last seen her. I dreamt about her, thought about her, wished I could go back and do it again but this time get it right....the first girl I ever loved and my greatest regret.' Recounted by Cynthia in the present with honesty and a razor sharp wit, the story moves back and forward in time, to high school first love and the "coming together" thirty years later. This fully staged film version was first presented in October as a Staged Reading. ABOUT THE ARTIST Written by Cynthia Glinick, an area writer, journalist, performer and handi-woman. Glinick has written for a variety of local periodicals, and has performed both stand-up and as an actor in area theatre productions. |
