Some of us have had that friend that made you brave, that brought redemption, that changed the course of your life. Filmed before a live theater audience watch this solo performance true story about deepest friendship, shame, and forgiveness. Playing out through time and place, see how love created courage to take up space. To take the stage. And to face death as well as living. Come and share my love and recognize your own.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

​​Winner of the Grand Slam Prize at the KO Festival of Performance 2022 in Massachusetts, and a storyteller on the Moth stage, Jo-Anne Hart will also perform Friendship: A Love Story this year in Sweden at the Tranås Fringe Festival and at the Oslo Fringe in Norway. This solo show was previously produced at the CitySpace Blue Room Theater in Easthampton. Jo-Anne has an MFA in Creative Nonfiction. She uses stories to illuminate common ground, the consequences of trauma, and the empathy required to be fully human.​
