DESCRIPTION OF PIECE

They couldn’t be out in the open,
but they still found ways
to be their true selves.

Hiding in Plain Sight
One-act play by Elaine Brousseau

Taking Flight
One-act play by Kay Bullard

In 1862, famous American actress Charlotte Cushman navigates the rocky waters of societal norms governing appropriate sexual behavior in Hiding in Plain Sight. Some seventy years later, in 1933, new First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and acclaimed aviator Amelia Earhart find themselves doing much the same in Taking Flight.
