Hiding in Plain Sight One-act play by Elaine Brousseau Taking Flight One-act play by Kay Bullard In 1862, famous American actress Charlotte Cushman navigates the rocky waters of societal norms governing appropriate sexual behavior in Hiding in Plain Sight. Some seventy years later, in 1933, new First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and acclaimed aviator Amelia Earhart find themselves doing much the same in Taking Flight. ABOUT THE ARTIST Elaine Brousseau’s plays have been seen at theaters throughout the United States, including locally at the Boston Theater Marathon, Culture*Park, and Firehouse Center for the Arts. Her play Arthur, Reading was read at The Wilbury Theatre Group last fall. Elaine is a member of the Dramatists Guild and The Blue Cow Group. Kay Bullard is a former librarian with a retirement avocation of playwright. Her plays have been read and produced throughout New England and a few nationally as well. A founding mother of the Providence-based The Blue Cow Group, she thanks The Wilbury Theatre Group for its support of PVD Fringe and artists of all ilk. Ashley Moore is directing. |
