DESCRIPTION OF PIECE

Marty Kennings is the insanely powerful superhero known as Stellar Woman, and her boyfriend, Conner Grayling, is a freelance web-designer. With her superhuman abilities and her important responsibilities, Conner begins to feel emasculated, which leads to a rough patch in the two's relationship. Stellar Woman's Boyfriend is a new student-written work that explores relationships, superheroes' home lives, and the inherent sexism in gender roles.

​The Student-Led Theatre Collective is a student organization dedicated to creating new opportunities for students to produce new work and employ the abilities learnt in their classes. Stellar Woman's Boyfriend is written by David O Weber II, an upcoming playwright from Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, currently attending the University of Rhode Island for his B.F.A. in Theatre.
