This selection of short plays by H. Avery explores themes of trans-ness, disability, and the surreality of present conditions in America. Featuring FATSO GOES TO MCDONALD'S (recently published with Smith and Kraus), DO NOT RESUSCITATE (winner of Cypress Productions' New Plays Now 2024/ finalist with Spectrum Theatre Ensemble) and a new premiere, these selected shorts turn big ideas into bite-sized comedic chops. See you in McDonald's purgatory.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

H. Avery is a playwright based in Pawtucket, RI. They are a proud two-time alum of Faces of America Monologue Festivals #5 and #6 featuring THE THING ABOUT ME, and TUMMY TROUBLES, respectively (The Playground Experiment.) Recent credits include THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF THE GUT MICROBIOME co-written with Dr. Carly Brennan (Geneva Theatre Guild), SKEETER/SUBMERGED (Sapphest NYC), and DO NOT RESUSCITATE (Cypress Productions). This past April, they performed in THE CURIOUS INCIDENT... DOG IN THE NIGHTTIME at Burbage Theatre. Thank you to their friends for acting in their plays and to found family for always championing their writing.
