Life right now feels a bit topsy turvy as things shift and change. It is a political, socio-economic upheaval on many levels; in the courts, levels of government and yes, even in working on this piece. It is a work in progress. We are not aiming for perfection. We, too, are finding our feet. But the subject is imminently important and the questions must be asked. Questions concerning women's rights, abortion, and the religious conservatives. Specifically, we focus on the catholic church in Boston, 1973 in a Catholic home for unwed mothers which closes down after Roe v Wade decision. A haunting deadlock between a nun and a worker at the home commences. How do we move out of where we are trapped yet feel safe? How do we not point fingers? How can we remain in a state of Grace whilst the winds of change are swiftly moving us all? None of us really know the answer to those questions- but change we must. And the question remains: How?
